Healthy Recipes Base On Rooibos Tea


Rooibos tea or redbush tea is completely free from caffeine and ideal for kids.
Rooibos contain some minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, potassium, calcium, copper, iron, fluoride, manganese. Rooibos tea has anti-allergic effects, because it contains quercetin. Studies have shown that the average 150 ml cup of Rooibos tea contains about 1,4 mg – 1,7 mg Quercetin. Quercetin is a bioflavonoid and it inhibits production of histamine and other biogenic amides such as tyramine and phenyl ethylamine.

Rooibos Tea Is More Than A Tea

Rooibos tea increases the activities of phase II liver detoxifying enzymes. Rooibos tea contains the enzyme super-oxid-dismutase (SOD), by studies at the Institute of Science for Aging at Al-CHI Medical University, Japan. The Redbush Tea increases the ratio of reduced Glutathione (GSH) to oxidised Glutathione (GSSG) by 500-600 %. Drink Redbush tea and live accordingly to the maxim “make your food as your medicine”.

Rooibos Vanilla Spread

Ingredients:

  • ¼ to ½ cup milk gluten free such as rice milk, Quinoa milk, soy milk, cow or goat milk
  • ½ Cup Rooibos tea
  • Vanilla
  • Natural Sweetener Xylitol
  • 4 to 5 Pinch carob gum powder (also known as E-410) or starch powder

Instructions
Mix milk, vanilla and Rooibos tea together.
Now bring the milk-mix to boil. Add carob gum (it’s a natural starch from carob seeds) 4 to 5 pinch (knife point; just a trace or more).
Add more milk if mixture is too thick. Let it cool completely, and serve on whole grain bread slices or to filling pancake. Instead of carob gum powder you can use any other kind of starches. You can use xanthan gum powder, guar gum and arrowroot powder as well.

Let me tell you a bit of information on Xylitol. Xylitol function as natural sweetener, but it is antifungal and inhibits Candida yeast.

Papaya Yogurt Dessert With Rooibos

Ingredients:

  • Biscuits of choice
  • ½ Cup pure yoghurt
  • ½ to ¾ cup very fine chopped papaya
  • Natural sweetener f.e. Xylitol
  • Few dried (enzyme rich) fruits of choice f.e. pineapple, fig
  • ¼ Cup cold Rooibos tea
  • 4 to 6 tsp. fine shredded coconut (unsulphured, unsweetened)

Instructions
Mix yoghurt, papaya, coconut and Rooibos tea together. Add natural sweetener to taste. Lay biscuits of choice in a dish form. Lay on top of it yoghurt-papaya-crème.
Lay on top of it cookies and then yoghurt-papaya-cream. Add on top of it fine chopped dried enzyme power fruits. Put it in refrigerator. It tastes very good after 1 to 2 hours.

Red Raspberry Vanilla Yogurt Drink With Rooibos And Lemongrass

Ingredients:

  • 1 or 1 ½ Cup red raspberries (fresh or freeze-deep)
  • 1 ½ Cups cold Rooibos tea (sweetened with natural sweetener of choice)
  • 1 Cup lemongrass tea (made from dried or fresh lemongrass)
  • Vanilla
  • ½ Cup pure yoghurt or buttermilk (or 1 to 2 tsp. powder of yoghurt or buttermilk)

Instructions

Add all ingredients in the blender and mix together.
Instead of red raspberries you can use black raspberries, blueberries or berries of choice

Let me tell you a bit of information on lemongrass. Lemongrass has antifungal properties and may be helpful for Candida albicans, Candida pseudotropicalis and Aspergillus fumigatus.
