Food preparation should not be a hard task or a tedious chore, but, an adventure enjoyed by everyone. Meals that are actually prepared and later enjoyed is the result of a well-planned healthy menu. In planning meals, the goal is that each meal satisfies every eater at the table. It becomes a heavy task when meals involve preparing different food for each member of the family.

Small portions of healthy food served in a certain order is the sum total of a healthy meal. The main meal of the day may be either lunch or dinner. Start the meal with soup. It fills up the stomach and as long as it is broth or soup thickened with vegetables, it is healthy.

Serve salad next. Make it exciting and enjoyable by using beautiful, fresh crispy greens. Add several colored kinds and when mixed together make a colorful, healthy fare. Allow 1 cup of salad veggies and fruits and 1 to 2 tablespoons dressing for a serving.

The main dish is usually accompanied by a vegetable or two. This must be a favorite portion of the meal. The meal can end in several ways. Dessert, which is usually the trimming is often a surprise. Serve fruits and sorbets and shakes which are low in fat.
